Let’s talk about Gun Control and how well it works in places like Chicago. The Left has been in charge of Chicago for a very long time, even Obama earned his activist stripes there, not to mention he was a Senator from Illinois prior to being elected Dictator of America. But since this piece isn’t about Obama’s blatant disregard for the Constitution, It’s about his blatant disregard for black lives in Chicago, why is he not getting involved in this matter?
Now as of today’s date there have been 1713 people shot in Chicago since January 1, 2015, bringing the total for Homicides to the staggering number of 290, and that number grows each and every day. They average that a person is shot every 3 minutes and 5 seconds, with someone being murdered every 18 minutes and 12 seconds. They also estimated the costs associated with these shootings, when they factor in the hospital costs, rehabilitation and hospice care, ambulance and paramedic services it costs the city roughly 2.5 Billion dollars each year.

Now can you imagine seeing this report in your local small town paper? Do you think people would stand for this type of violence in your city? If white people were being killed in this manner would more be done?
Now Chicago has some of the strictest gun laws in the nation, and so far all it has done is disarm the law abiding citizens so they can’t properly protect themselves and it has allowed the criminal elements to run rampant around the city. Even the Police fear going into certain areas, which are basically controlled by the criminals. I find this to be bullshit, we live in a land governed of laws, and because of the way the police get treated and liberal law makers who would rather bend to the will of the their constituents in order to remain in power. This is partly why Chicago is so bad, but of course there are other reasons, the kind that aren’t popular to talk about, because you might be labeled a racist. But let’s face it, the majority of the shootings that take place in Chicago are black on black crimes.
The Obama administration is very quick to point out any circumstances that involve a white police officer shooting a black man, they are quick to pre-judge the officers and label it racially motivated. Black leaders such as Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton rush to the scene and cause unrest among the people who live in those communities, they claim that it is law enforcement’s fault that these shootings are happening, and then of course there comes rioting and destruction of property, more people get hurt, businesses are lost, the city is left worse than before and then Jackson and Sharpton quickly leave the area going back to their lives well away from the violence they agitate.
It’s strange how you don’t see Sharpton or Jackson in Chicago, protesting against the black thugs who commit these crimes. Perhaps they should focus their efforts on trying to educate and draw attention to the real source of the problems there. It’s almost like they are afraid to even talk about it, they don’t want to point out that it’s the failed policies of the Left that are to blame. They are okay with minorities being dependent on the system, because that is their voting block, instead of trying to get those communities to Rise Above their situation and get the kids off the streets, out of gangs and drugs. They are willing to just leave things as they are, the status quo and keep blaming the police, blame guns, blame white privilege, blame Republicans saying they don’t care about black lives.
Well Black lives matter just as much as white lives, brown lives, all lives. When we single out one race we are continuing to divide the people, that way there can always be a “victim” and that allows black leaders like Sharpton to keep perpetuating this victim mentality among their people. Anyone can see that this type of thinking only does more harm than good, it will continue to divide our country, I personally think race relations have gotten worse since Obama has been in office, I believe to a certain degree Obama also perpetuates this victim mentality among minorities. But I guess history will judge how he handled himself when it came to race issues in this country.
I know for a fact if it was innocent white people getting murdered everyday in Chicago something would be done about it, perhaps Obama and his Justice department should finally step-up and take back the streets of Chicago…But it doesn’t appear that will happen anytime soon. So today more people will die…
